Rainbow Highlighters Make EVERYTHING Better

I'm still alive, nobody panic! I've just been studying (procrastinating) and completing practice exams despite the fact that the past two weeks have been school holidays. My real final exams are less than a month away, and wow, where did the time go? I am so nervous, but so excited. Cannot wait to be finished with high-school!

Anyway, I brought my awesome packet of highlighters into my English and Literature practice exams because I knew there were passages we'd have to read and analyse and write an essay for... It wasn't quite as fun on the English exam, but I went to town and had a ball with the Literature exam :)

Let's just say, the exam paper was a lot more colourful when I gave it back than it was when they'd first given it to me.

What's everyone else been up to? Writing much?

  1. Too bad you couldn't get a picture of the page before handing it back in!

I've been revising more than pure writing the last week or so, managed to get about 1/3 through the WiP. Progress is definitely satisfactory.

Good luck with exams, as I expect you'll be kind of busy for posting the next few weeks, and enjoy the last month of school. The end of the known, comforting world can be kind of stressful; just remember to breathe and have some fun.

    1. I might be able to get another snap of it, they were only practice exams and we should be getting them back to help us revise :)

Great to hear you're making progress with your WiP revisions. :)

Being busy isn't likely to stop me from posting if I think of something worth sharing. I'll need a study break now and then anyway, but thank you for understanding. Hope all is going well for Magpie in the big wide world I'm about to join :)

  2. Oh, rainbow highlighters DEFINITELY make everything better! I used to highlight - and take notes - in a myriad of colors when I was in school. It made things fun and always helped me remember certain passages better when studying. Even now, I use a rainbow of colors in my writing journals! :)

    Good luck with your exams!

    1. Oh gosh, they are the best things in the world. And, it turns out my best friend and I used the same three colours on the passage we were analyzing for English. :D We're cute. Keep using those highlighter rainbows... spread the studious love!!!!

  5. Hi Bonnee,

We have a book or two needing to be reviewed for White Cat and I wasn't sure how to catch hold of you except here. Categories are paranormal romance, science fiction, fantasy and mystery. Paranormal romance is our first need for our magazine Insatiable, which debuts 21 October. The others have a bit more time. Let me know if you're interested at rick@whitecatpublications.com asap and I'll send you to the writer editor. And we pay $25 US per 500 word review, which is the going pro rate, so it would be a pro credit for you if you're interested.
    Best, Rick
